The year was 1986 when the foundation bricks of Green Land Public School System were being laid. It is located in the beautiful valley of Bhurban, the heart of Murree. The hard work, the vision and the knowledge, it was all there since first day. It is the largest education system of its kind in the region. Green Land aims to give students a quality education with confidence.
Our school system professes the benchmark for excellence in education character building and building students in to leaders. Green Land Public School System tries to exploit your true potential, there by helping to nurture those inner qualities that have yet to be bloom.
Over the years thousands of students have successfully completed their studies at Green Land and have progressed to higher studies in different Universities and have secured successful careers in a variety of fields. As well as maintaining high academic standards and providing quality education in the environment is the goal of Green Land/
Admission in Green Land is open for all students who display the potential depending on the availability of seats. Merit based scholarships are available for a limited number of students. We prepare students to be successful as lifelong learners. As academician our job is to share knowledge, wisdom and experience, inspire hope and explain the power of love, kindness and respect. We bring quality education within the reach of every student.
Green Land Public School System is permanently registered for Boys and Girls and affiliated with Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education and fully authorized to provide quality education till matriculation level.
The school envisages the provision of quality education on modern lines commensurate with national aspirations and present day technological demands, in an atmosphere conducive to healthy development of mental and physical facilities.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
Our way of education aims at developing a child’s moral and physical capabilities so that they are brought up to take challenges and takes pride in their religion, country culture and heritage. following aspects of education of a child are, therefore are given special attention in this institution.
a. Development of individual qualities like honesty, integrity self discipline etc. appreciation, affection, reward and indoctrination by the teachers of the school.
b. Development of individual qualities like cooperation, tolerance, sociability, etc. by proper motivation and guidance, both in and outside the classroom.
c. Development of leadership qualities like initiative, power of decision, self confidence and action etc. by providing opportunities to help appointments as class prefects, House captains, Head Boys and Head Girls.
d. Development of curiosity, creative thinking and sense of inquiry by activating the intelligent quotient of the students.
e. Development of sense of pride, quest for excellence and achievement through healthy competition between individuals as wall as groups in academics, sports and other curricular activities.
The School administration comprises the following tiers:
BOARD OF GOVERNORS:
This body is responsible for laying down the policies with regard to educations, finances, administration and human resource management. The board comprises of a Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, Director Center, Director Finance, Director Education & Training Beats act as secretaries.
It is responsible to the Board of Governor for prompt compliance of approved policies, assist in day to day administration, academic audit and quality control.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION:
“Green Land” is a chain of well established English medium schools and being run on the P
ublic School lines. Primary and Metric level streams of education are offered where possible.

The school students are divided into four houses named Jinnah, Iqbal, Tipu Sultan and Sir Syed with flags of green, red, maroon and yellow colors, respectively. Each house comprises an equal number of students from all the classes. This ensures four teams for various annual competitions in academics, sports and other co – curricular activities. The students feel proud of this association and thus endeavour to keep their flag high.
Green Land Public School System offers full course designed by education specialists along with a/v aids both for junior and high sections.
The academic session of the school commences in April and ends in March each year. However, it may depend on local climatic conditions.
Character building and moral grooming are essential parts of the academic discipline. In view of this, the school routine starts with morning assembly where recitation from the Holy Quran and its translation and Explanation in English / Urdu is performed.
The school working timing would depend on local climatic conditions and are promulgated by school principal. Montessori class will, however be finished a period earlier. Changes in school working hours, if any, will normally be notified on the school notice board.
Green Land Public School System has state of the art laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Our school has modern computer lab equipped with latest computers having internet access for students.
The School library is equipped with a variety of reading material like books, journals periodicals and newspapers. A large number of reference books on various subjects, both in arts and science are available for the students as well as teachers. Almost all classes have a library period once a week. (Apart from the daily visit in their free period)
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
The students are guided and provided on opportunity to overcome their stage inhibitions: To broaden their horizon of thinking and to develop the eloquence in public speaking during the tutorial period, they are prepared and encouraged to take part in English and Urdu debates and declamation contents, both local and outstations. Educational visits and excursions are also arranged to familiarize the students with industrial and technological developments and the cultural heritage of the country arrangements for various hobbies and skills.
Our school endeavour to provide transport facility to students through the contractors where possible.
The school offers coaching facilities and annual competition in outdoor and indoor games, both for girls and boys.
Green Land Public School & Training Services arrange for doctors and nursing staff to provide first aid to the students when needed. In addition all students go through a medical check up once in a year.
Following is the procedure for admission:
a: Admission is allowed to both, boys and girls in all classes on the basis of the results of written test and interview.
b: Application for admission is received on prescribed Registration form attached with the prospectus, available from the school accounts office on payment.
c: Three 1″x 1″ colored photographs, original and photocopy of the birth certificate and form “B” should accompany the application form.
d: Entry tests are commensurate with age group and the requisite academic standard of the class in which admission is sough.
AGE REQUIREMENT FOR JUNIOR SECTION:
A student seeking admission in play group should be less the 3 to 4 years.

The dress and particularly the school uniform is the first identity and impression of one’s personality. The student must, therefore, be careful their turnout at all times. All students have to attend the school in the prescribed uniform failing which they will not only fined but will also not be permitted to attend the classes.
